What goes around comes around; you must have heard this before. Now here’s a living proof of it. This is a story of instant Karma. Wherever you go, whatever you do, there’s someone constantly watching you around. And something similar happened with builder Colin Banks.
Karma paid off instantly to Colin Banks who won £50,000 soon after he handed in £30 he found at a cash machine. Honesty pays the rewards, you can say this too. Well, now this doesn’t matter much I guess. After all, Colin got his biggest reward, whether it’s because of Karma or Honesty, who cares.
Colin Banks, 50-year-old hails from Scotland. He was with his daughter when he noticed bank note sticking out of a cash point at Asda in Motherwell. He immediately handed the cash to the store. And miraculously, Colin won almost £50,000 after beating odds of 372,000-1 in a £1.50 bet.
Here are his words:
“I was curious and went back into the supermarket on Sunday and the same member of staff I had handed to the £30, was on duty.
She said the lad had been back in and was very grateful. I suppose one good turn deserves another.
They say honesty is the best policy and it certainly was for me.”
Colin regularly visits the Betfred shop. Colin backed Richardson Lakes, Rifle Bore, Granary Loaf and Soviet Fighter, who won within 36 minutes of each other at starting prices of 28-1, 20-1, 50-1 and 11-1.
According to Colin, it is really amazing to win such a huge amount of windfall with just £1.50 bet. His first choice was Richardson Lakes as he has a nephew with the same name. Moreover, while Colin has always backed Rifle Bore, the other two were random choices for him. Colin staked £1.50 on a 10p Lucky 15 – a series of 10p single, double and accumulator bets.
Betfred boss, Fred Done said that it is one of the biggest virtual horse racing wins in their 50 years of history.
P.S. – Congratulations Colin! Good Karma pays off!
