The story of Frane Selak is not less than a mind-bending movie script like Cast Away. It is so unbelievable that you will claim it as fake. However, it is a real story.

Frane is the world’s luckiest man to escape death seven times allegedly. Frane’s encounters with death started in January 1962 when he was riding in a train that flipped off the tracks and crashed into a river. While Frane suffered a broken arm and hyperthermia, the rest of the passengers were unfortunate to lose their life.
The next year he survived a plane crash. Luckily he was blown out of the plane door and landed safely in a haystack, while the plane got crashed killing 19 people. In later years, Frane survived several more fatal accidents including a bus crash and two car crashes. However, after all this, luck continued to favor Frane. He also scooped a lottery of €800,000 (US$1,110,000) in 2003, just after two days of his 73rd birthday.
