Fortune hands $105 Million jackpot to a 58 years old electrical engineer

Life changed for the 58-year-old electrical engineer when the Mega Millions jackpot draw results came out for 22nd September 2017. It was a moment of sheer bliss for the Wayne Harris when he won the jackpot of $105 Million. For some reasons, he bought five Mega Millions tickets of that draw, and the fifth ticket became his golden ticket.

Yolanda Vega of the New York’s Lottery has presented the winner with the cheque of the lump sum payment. Harris collected his check inside the Mirabito Convenience store on Route 281.

Harris is a regular MegaMillions ticket buyer, and he buys tickets every Tuesday and Friday. The Homer resident waited to collect the cheque at the lottery office in Syracuse before everything went public. Wayne in an interaction stated, “I never liked buying tickets of any other lottery other than MegaMillions. MegaMillions always have such a huge amount of money to offer than most. That day I just bought five tickets on my instinct. I didn’t try to go with family numbers or birthdays which many punters do these days. Even my father couldn’t believe me when I told him that I have won the jackpot.”

When asked, what he wants to do with the remaining amount of his jackpot after the withholdings, the 58 years old engineer said that it has always been his dream to a pilot, but he had to settle for electrical engineering because life doesn’t always give you all the joy you want. With his $44 million he wishes to buy an airplane and take flying lessons to fulfill his childhood dream. He even said that he has never been on vacation to a warm place during the winter season, so he guesses now is the time to fulfill that dream too. He wishes to stay with his dad in his Homer house only and spend his life in harmony.
