When Family birth dates wins you $133.2 million jackpot after 30 years

Someone has rightly said that ‘Family is the greatest gift one can have,’ and this proved to be faithful to this 67-year-old retired woman. This Colorado (Arizona, United States), based woman won $133.2 million jackpot after trying the birthdays of her family members as the winning combination for three decades.

Judy Finchum, conquered $133.2 million Powerball jackpot last week on 16th September by playing the same set of numbers she has been for three decades. When things go wrong in people’s lives, they often try to make amends to their approach but not her. It is her patience and persistence that brought her moment of joy after 30 years. To mark the occasion of her dog, Tillie’s birthday she bought an Advance Play ticket last Saturday.

1. Her birthday: 18th
2. Her sister’s birthday: 24th
3. Her ex-husband’s birthday: 25th
4. Her daughter’s birthday: 31st
5. Her late brother’s birthday: 17th

When she realised that all these dates had become the winning numbers, including the Powerball number too, she was overwhelmed with joy. She eagerly ran to her husband who was sleeping in their bedroom and woke him up. After breaking the news of hitting the $133.2 million jackpot, they both rushed to check out the numbers. “We stumbled down the hallway together. I said, ‘Now look at these figures and look at the numbers on the ticket and are same or not?'” and her husband says, ‘Yes they are.'”

If our wives or girlfriends have made us a millionaire by right, we would have expressed our joy for having them in their lives too. Mack said, “She is my greatest gift.”

He also said that his wife is the personification of generosity and kindness. The Finchums have opted for the one-time payment of $84,607,397 as the one-time lump sum payment.
