5 lucky actors who bagged these iconic roles even without being a choice

There’s a saying – whatever happens, happens for good. There is a certain reason for everything you witness around, and even there’s a reason for your presence. Moreover, we can say that there is nothing like accidents or accidentally or miraculously. If you just sit and observe your life, you will find out that whatever happened at a particular time, happened for a good reason.

Likewise, whatever has to come to you, it will come. If you deserve it, you will get it. And, if it doesn’t happen, then you know the answer!

So, carrying forward this thought, we have compiled a list of 5 actors who were lucky (or deserving you can say) to bag the iconic roles without even being in the list of choice of actors to portray it. Yes, these five remarkable roles were initially knitted for someone else, but due to some reasons, these ended up in the right shoe.

Arnold Schwarzenegger- John McClane (Die Hard)

Arnold Schwarzenegger was the first actor to get the offer to essay the role of policeman McClane in Die Hard franchise. The movie was also believed to be a sequel to Arnold’s 1985 action hit Commando. However, Arnold rejected the role due to some ethical reasons, and finally, it went to Bruce Willis.

Tom Cruise and Nicholas Cage – Tony Stark (Iron Man)

Keep your hand on chest and answer- can you imagine anyone else other than Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark? Yes, I also can’t. But do you know, long back in 1997, Nicholas Cage was interested in portraying this role. Even Tom Cruise has expressed his willingness to play the role. He even wanted to produce the film.

Matthew McConaughey – Jack (Titanic)

The iconic pair Rose and Jack of Titanic is still remembered only because of the actors who have portrayed it. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio made the role legendary. However, movie’s director, James Cameron wanted Matthew McConaughey to play the role of Jack Dawson. But, Matthew wasn’t impressed with the plot and then refused.

Hugh Jackman – Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl)

Now I can bet you; no one could have portrayed it better than Johnny Depp. You will be surprised to know that initially this role was written for Hugh Jackman. However, directors withdrew him because of his little popularity outside Australia.

Robert Pattinson and Ryan Gosling – Christian Grey (Fifty Shades of Grey)

Initially, the directors were considering Robert Pattinson and Ryan Gosling for Christian Grey. However, director rejected Pattinson after considering his role in Twilight and Ryan wasn’t interested in the role. Hence, Jamie Dornan hit the jackpot.
