5 lucky men who got to marry a real princess

With the Royal engagement of Prince Harry Williams, 33, of UK with US actress Meghan Markle, 36, doing rounds on the internet; media frenzies across the world are losing their sleep. Yes, after the royal wedding Meghan Markle would become not only a princess but also an example for younger women that fairy tale marriages do exist. But what about men, do we get a fairy tale ending? Yes, we do too! Here’s a list of ordinary men who got married to a Princess in real life. Take a bow, ladies and gentleman as we present to you the men who made a wife out of those princesses, as a boss, even if it is for some months.

Prince Christopher Thomas

Christopher Thomas met Princess Ruth Komuntale of Uganda, in Silver Spring when he was an accountant working at Discover channel and she was studying at American University in Washington DC. They started dating, and Christopher proposed at a local Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

But it wasn’t until after their engagement that Christopher realised how valuable Ruth was to Uganda. Christopher was then officially accepted into the royal family, and the couple was married on November 17, 2012, in Uganda. It is just like people say, life is like a box of chocolates and you never know what you are going to get next.

Daniel Ducruet lived like a Prince for a year

Daniel Ducruet never received an official title or style, and if anyone is to blame, then it should been him. The relationship between Daniel Ducruet and Princess Stephanie of Monaco was rocky at best. Daniel was the princess’ bodyguard and when they fell in love. It was all fine until a Belgian paparazzi followed Daniel to a villa only to find that Daniel being greeted by a topless former”Miss Naked Breast of Belgium” in the poolside. Before the marriage as well Daniel couldn’t keep it in his pants and things got out of control when his then-girlfriend (not the princess) was six months pregnant. They tried their best to keep their courtship under the radar, but it all went haywire.

Though after the marriage they went on to have two children out of wedlock together, before finally getting the blessing of Princess Stephanie’s father, Prince Rainier, to marry.

They were married in a civil ceremony on July 1, 1995, but later separated once pictures surfaced of Daniel cheating on the Stephanie with Muriel “Fili” Mol-Houteman. They were officially divorced on October 4, 1996.

Adans Lopez Peres (never received an official title or style)

Nothing’s too weird, but in this case, it’s a total mystery. No one knows how Adans Peres met Princess Stephanie of Monaco. What would be your guesses? Because the world has gave up on finding that ‘how?’ Given that Lopez was a Portuguese trapeze artist and the last five generations of his family have been a circus performer, it’s no less than a Chris Nolan level of mystery that how in the world can it be possible between a circus artist and a princess. Let us give you one more reason; Adans was ten years junior to the princess.

They secretly married in Vandœuvres, Switzerland on September 12, 2003, but the marriage didn’t last long: They separated ten months later and were officially divorced on November 24, 2004. It seems like Princess Stephanie was cursed when it came to her marriage.

Daniel Westling became a Swedish Duke

Remember the time when we thought that Brazzers.com was a bad influence? Well, this royal wedding seems like it has been taken out of one such story. Let us tell you, why? Male personal trainer, rich princess, first fitness then flexibility and where most movies stop they took it to the next level with a wedding ring. Prince Daniel, currently The Duke of Västergötland, was formerly the personal trainer of Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. They fell in love and were married on June 19, 2010. They have one daughter together.

It was confusing for awhile how Daniel would be styled after their marriage, and her father King Carl XVI Gustav was dead-set against the union for most of their courtship. But after going to “prince school” and learning how to eat, socialise, and converse like royalty, Daniel was finally accepted.

Alfonso Diez became a Spanish Duke

The Duke of Alba Alfonso was close friends with the 18th Duchess of Alba (who has more titles than Queen Elizabeth II) for years before he proposed. He was 24 years her junior, and that has caused her children and the tabloids to believe he is in it for her money.

But the noble Alfonso gave up his rights to her estimated $800 million and $4.6 billion fortune to marry the Duchess. They tied the knot on October 5, 2012, and two of her children did not attend the wedding.

Anyway, getting back to the royal engagement of Prince Harry we guess, we found out a similarity. After following it through from Prince Charles who married the beautiful Diana (commoner) to Prince Williams who tied the knot with the breath-taking Kate Middleton (commoner) to Prince Harry who is all set to get married to Meghan Markle (not a commoner but is considered to the royalty of Prince Harry then we can say that she is), it is confirmed that both the Princes have failed to get a girl of their standard just like their father. Prince Charles at first dated Diana’s elder sister but got married to Diana instead. Hence one thing is proved by it. If you have the money, you can just shove it down your bank account in their throat. Kidding of course! Or was I?
