A high school girl, Tristan Dilley was found dead in her home last week. The 14-year-old from Silbee in Texas was a cheerleader. The police were investigating the case and had found new details of the suspected killer from Tristan’s phone. Police have discovered text messages between Tristan and Paul Aubrey Adams, 19-year-old.
On the night of October 1, Tristan’s family had gone out shopping leaving behind her as she was tired because of the school dance on the previous night. When they returned, they found Tristan lying on the bed with two wounds of the gunshot in the head. As per the investigators, there were no signs of intrusion which indicates that Tristan knew her killer.
Before her death, the last person Tristan contacted was Adam. Her family also confirmed she had spoken about him. Adam admitted being present at Tristan’s house on the night of the incident but claimed that an intruder was responsible for the murder.
On Monday morning, Adam took his life when police tracked his location and approached him. Evidence indicates that Adam used the same gun to kill himself with which he had shot Tristan.
However, the motive behind the murder remains a mystery.
